Pregnancy
The control of worms and vaccination of pregnant bitches are performed during prenatal, taking the health of the puppies into account. The mammary system of pregnant bitches should be prepared to receive the puppies. Balanced food servings should be increased and served twice a day. Vitamin and mineral supplements are given only with the recommendation of a veterinarian.

A vaccination program
should be adopted in accordance with the age of the animal, its genetic heritage and environment in which the animal lives. Usually, we adopt a vaccination program that starts at the 45th day of age, with the animal already treated for worms. We recommend a 4 shot series of two vaccines against : Cinomosis, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Coronavirus with intervals to be determined by the veterinarian, followed by rabies after 3 months of age. Booster Shots: Animals should annually receive a booster shot of all vaccines. CHLPPC vaccine: It could be given every semester when there are foci of diseases or animals in exhibition.

Worm
It should be performed on the 20th day of age, repeated on the 30th day of age (according to the orientation of a vet) and then every six months, taking into account a stool test.

Hygiene
Bath: After the vaccination program puppies should be bath regularly, taking the care of placing a cotton stuffing in each ear.
Ears: should be cleaned weekly using a cotton soaked in alcohol (remove the excess of alcohol gently squeezing the cotton).
Kennel: should be cleaned daily using chlorine; a flame thrower should be used once a week and amitraz should be sprayed every 15 days.

HEALTH AND CARE
FEEDING
Filas should be fed 2 to 3 times a day. Its better that the dog eats a small amount many times a day rather than one large ration. It should not be forced to exercise until at least 10 month old, normal play and walking is sufficient. Avoid slippery floors and slippery stairs, since its heavy frame can be injured during its development. Filas dont stop growing until their second or third year. Keep your Fila lean and strong. High protein foods with no soy are good.
